Nova Franklin, a young inventor, tests her magical soap bubbles that can shrink everything they touch.

But outside, a violent storm rages, and when a gust of wind suddenly blows the window open, Nova and her cat Emilio are swept away on an adventurous journey: down into the city’s dark water pipes, along rushing rivers, out into the open sea, high up among the clouds, through icy mountain valleys, and on to hidden underground lakes.

Along the way, our heroes – and the readers – discover how the water cycle really works!

ABOUT MARK SPARKS

Mark Sparks (aka Marco Germinario) holds a Master’s degree in nuclear physics from the Niels Bohr Institute in Copenhagen. His great passion is storytelling, which he has explored through studies and masterclasses at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, UCLA Extension, and the Danish National Film School. He has also studied photography at Fatamorgana – The Danish School of Art Photography – and music at the University of Copenhagen.

Mark develops original concepts for animated TV series and children’s films, combining his expertise in storytelling, science, photography, and music.

This broad background allows him to communicate complex knowledge in a fun, empathetic, and accessible way.

Driven by a passion for meaningful projects, Mark is dedicated to building strong connections and delivering creative solutions, transforming knowledge into engaging and inspiring experiences.
